Chase Opperman
Executive Legislative Editor
Chase is from Albany, New York. He graduated from Ursinus College in 2021, magna cum laude, with a B.A. in Philosophy and a B.S. in Psychology. At Notre Dame Law, he is a criminal law teaching assistant, the president of the Military and Veterans Law Society, the vice president for First Generation Professionals, and a current member of multiple Student Bar Association committees.
During the summer, Chase worked as a judicial extern for Judge James Patrick Hanlon of the Southern District of Indiana and concurrently assisted Notre Dame Law School's Professor Jay Tidmarsh in his research on Indiana state civil procedure. He was Summer Restructuring Associate Kirkland and Ellis in Chicago. Chase's favorite things to do after a long day of reading legal opinions involve working with his hands: cooking, hiking, working out, and even yard work. His fun fact is that he is going on his 6th year of service in the United States Army Reserves as a military justice paralegal specialist.
