Matilda is from Hunan Province, China. She grew up in China and went to high school there. Matilda attended UCSB for undergrad, where she studied French, financial math & statistics, and history. At NDLS, she is a member of the Business Legal Forum, Women's Legal Forum, IPLS, and APALSA. She also participated in the 1L Galilee program and visited San Francisco last January. During her 1L summer, she clerked for a bankruptcy judge in the Northern District of Indiana.

After graduation, Matilda wishes to practice litigation in California or Chicago. When she’s free, Matilda loves reading, sketching, watching movies, playing video games, and writing fan-fics. She also loves to cover K-POP dances but says she still has A LOT of space for improvement. A fun fact about Matilda: she has over 2,000 pictures of Samoyed and Bernese Mountain dogs saved in her phone! She says “THEY ARE THE CUTEST.”
