Zachary Townsell

Zachary is from Springfield, Illinois. He graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics. Zachary is currently a member of the Future Prosecuting Attorneys Council and First Generation Professionals. During the past summer, Zachary worked as an intern at the Sangamon County State’s Attorney’s Office in Springfield.

Outside of law school, he enjoys following collegiate and professional sports. Baseball is his favorite, followed by football, then collegiate basketball. He is a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Bears, and all the teams from UIUC and Notre Dame. In addition to sports, Zachary likes to read about history, especially biographies of important political figures. Zachary taught himself how to play chess over the course of the pandemic and enjoys playing online in his free time.
